What a great night for Chelsea fans! The atmosphere at Stamford Bridge was incredible. Eight goals against Wigan ensure them a first Premier League title since 2006 and a record haul of 103 goals. The Blues were at last beginning to play some of the football for which Abramovich has always hankered. Under Ancelotti, they have shown again both the mettle and the quality of champions. This season they were the only team that do the double against Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool.
The rest of us had the luxury of a more dispassionate view. It was that the title was heading in the right direction and into deserving hands.
